Welcome. It's so great that you and your husband have discovered the real truth together. Things will get better you'll see.

Hi Boo
Had the same CT scan done a few years back. It's not at all uncomforatalbe or painful. Relax. Had the sinus op done and it was the best thing I could have done. Let us know how it goes.

A little story about my Dad
by Princess Daisy Boo ini dont think i have ever mentioned this story - mostly because it is quite a painful memory but a@g's post about his recent da'ing and how upset his wife is made me recall this dreadful period in my growing up years.. i was about 17 or 18... i think i was out of school by then but to tell the truth - i cant recall.
my dad started going through this really strange phase - maybe it was a midlife crisis - he was in his late 40's or early 50's.
i woke up one sunday morning and overheard a conversation between him and my mom.

Thank you for sharing Boo. It just goes to show, if you keep sweeping the dirts under the carpet one day you'll wake up with your nose against the ceiling. It's not healthy not to talk about it. I'm glad you could at least share it with us.

Sometimes I think that I am such a bad mom!
by Princess Daisy Boo ini woke up this morning with such a bad headache and facial pain and i felt pretty crappy (i am pretty sure it is sinus related - i seem to get a sinus infection at least every 6 weeks or so).. all was going fine until my little boy climbed onto my bed to put his shoes on and emptied a pile of sand from yesterdays escapades in the sandpit) onto my clean sheets.
well that was the end of my holding my temper - from then on, everything that he or his sister did was wrong and i just shouted and shouted.
he couldn't find his shoes - i shouted at that.

Cheer up Boo! It happens to all of us. Tell your son that you're sorry for shouting at him so much this morning and that not feeling well and you need him to be extra good for a day or two.
Moms are human too.

I joined Weight Watchers today!
by Princess Daisy Boo ini am a bit of a yo yo dieter - i have been dieting ever since i was a teenager, and my role model for this was my mom of course.
in fact one of my very early memories of going shopping with mom and her buying a diet shake mix.
well... i have a little girl who is almost three and i have been thinking about things and i really need to break this cycle of crash diets, losing 5 kgs and picking up 10 once i have lost motivation.

For Those of You Trying to Quit Drinking - Even Temporarily...
by cognac infigured i'd do a topic for it.
i'm trying to quit for at least a month - just found i was drinking a bit to much with all the stress.... anyways, its been 10 days since i last had a drink.. how long has it been for you?
how long are you trying to go without drinking?.

I really enjoy a good glass of red wine but my body doesn't! If I have more than one glass I feel so sick it's just not worth it. I use to be a binge drinker, I went for ages without any alcohol but when I did drink I would hav way too much. I'm glad those days are over.
Good thread cognac.
